Health Insurance And Medicare Update

My mother has a kidney failure BUT her husband’s retirement and disability income is about $ 1400/month. She owns about 9 properties under her name but all are being rented out to tenants or lease purchases. She is not working due to her illness and have no insurance.. can she qualify for medicare? What can she do to get insurance?? HELP! she only has 2 yrs left to live with dialysis and she cant even start that!
and for that first comment.. NO I DONT WANT ANYTHING FROM HER if she passes. She is in the process of selling her properties to come up with money to pay for her surgery.

Annual Cancer Prevention Fair

On Saturday, May 19, Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, Cottage Health System, and Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics will host a Cancer Prevention Fair to provide free and low-cost cancer screenings for community members who are uninsured and under-insured.

Attendees who qualify will be eligible for free cancer screenings, including skin cancer screenings, visual oral cancer screening, clinical breast exams, and colon cancer at-home screening kits. Future appointments for colonoscopies and women’s exams will be made for those who qualify. Health educators will also be on hand to provide cancer prevention information on topics including mammograms, the HPV vaccine, hereditary cancer risk, and smoking cessation.
